Report: French companies, including Auchan, stay in Russia

PARIS, Mar 15 (PRIME) -- The French companies, including Auchan and Danone, will stay in Russia, and the French government never recommended that they leave, head of the Movement of the Enterprises of France (Medef) Geoffroy Roux de Bezieux told channel BFMTV on Tuesday.

He also confirmed the desire to stay of construction materials seller Leroy Merlin and sports goods retailer Decathlon.

Bezieux added that about 160,000 people work in the companies in Russia and have to be supported.
